About Gary Karlsen
Gary Karlsen's rich and varied travels have included hitch-hiking across North America; riding the rails across Canada; flying single engine airplanes into mountain lakes; traveling half the globe as a merchant mariner; and speaking at international conferences as an educator. He has travelled through careers in the construction industry, the teaching profession, and as a television producer. Karlsen continues to explore the world with his lifelong companion, Joanne and share his experiences with others through his writing, his photography, and videos (See YouTube). He lives with his wife and family in British Columbia, Canada.
