While walking around the ancient village of Seguret in France's Luberon, I went crazy with my camera - there was so much to shoot. It was like drinking water through a fire hose. Then the sun began to set over the hills behind the clouds, in the direction of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The clouds were on fire.
Gary Karlsen is a writer and amateur photographer. His rich and varied travels have included sailing the oceans of world on deep-sea freighters, circumnavigating North America by thumb, riding the rails across Canada, flying single engine airplanes into mountain lakes, traveling half the globe as a merchant mariner, and speaking at international conferences as an educator.
