The Duomo in Florence, Italy is a much photographed cathedral. The colours are pale muted and begged to be rendered to monochrome. The cathedral is considered the most visited in not only Europe, but possibly, in the world. Construction began in 1226 and was completed in 1436 (Wikipedia) - about 15 years before Christopher Columbus was born.
Gary Karlsen is a writer and amateur photographer. His rich and varied travels have included sailing the oceans of world on deep-sea freighters, circumnavigating North America by thumb, riding the rails across Canada, flying single engine airplanes into mountain lakes, traveling half the globe as a merchant mariner, and speaking at international conferences as an educator. He has travelled through careers in the construction industry, the teaching profession, and as a television producer.
