Artist's Description
Nooksak Falls is one of several cataracts on the Nooksak River in Mt Baker National Park. This absolutely spectacular park in Washington State, in the Pacific Northwest region close to the Canadian border. We live near Vancouver and are as close as 90 minutes or so from the Park by car.
The park will be known by most people for Mt Baker itself, an active (though sleeping) volcano that looms majestically over the eastern horizon. Mt Baker is well known to local skiers and snowboarders. But the park is much more than this. From serious mountain climbing to hiking and camping, and of course, eye candy for photographers at all levels, this wild region of North America is very accessible and a must-visit place for everyone.
