The usual crowd of tourists was absent at the Palais Royal Buren Columns but on closer look there was a photo shoot going on. The two women in the foreground were waiting their turn to pose for the photographer. Little did they know that they were posing for me.
Le Palais Royal, just a couple of streets north of the Louvre, was built in the 17C for Cardinal Richelieu and it was the home of France�s Royalty for another couple of centuries. Today it houses the Ministries of Justice and Culture.
Gary Karlsen is a writer and amateur photographer. His rich and varied travels have included sailing the oceans of world on deep-sea freighters, circumnavigating North America by thumb, riding the rails across Canada, flying single engine airplanes into mountain lakes, traveling half the globe as a merchant mariner, and speaking at international conferences as an educator.
